Alright, who has played this bad boy?
What are your thoughts on it, even if you haven't played it? (Do you think you'd like it if you played it?)
This game is simply amazing. The graphics are mindblowing. You'll find yourself staring at the screen wondering "Is this possible?".
It's just amazing what video games are able to do today. I don't play the single player that much (as Scott knows) but I find myself playing the multiplayer quite a bit.
Thoughts on the game?
Beat Campaign mode a couple nights ago on Hardcore and I must say...it was probably the best videogame experience I've ever had. The graphics are absolutely amazing, as is the gameplay, and online options.
Gears of War is one of the best games I've ever played.
I agree, the game is astonishing, including the multiplayer. It really makes you want to purchase your X360 now.
Gears of War is the Greatest Shooter ever made. Everything works so well. Even though I have many problems with it, it continues to impress me with very day I play it.
Some of the things I dont like are:
The story needs to be in the game not the game manual. The multi-player connections issues need to be fixed for it to have the longevity that people want it to have. They need more options for multi-player and more players, at least 10 at the most 12. You dont need too many people to play on the maps they have. Speaking of maps they need more of them to enjoy the game better and maybe have a few non-symetrical maps in the game. Back to single-player, the levels of difficulty need to be more balanced. Casual is too easy and Hardcore is a little too hard to beat on your one. Insane is great for a co-op and horrible on your own.
Some of the things that I do like are:
The stroy has soo much potential and could become as good a story as Halo. The cover system works great in single player (not so much in multi-player). I love that the game is more made for co-op than most other shooters and I love that you can play co-op over Live. Of course the graphics. They are simply amazing, you can not compare Gears's graphics to any other game. But if you dont like the color grey they you probably wont ejoy the graphics too much. The setting is incredible. Beaten to shit buildings and cities are great for action. The level design in both single and multiplayer is just phenominal. The mulitplayer 4 on 4 works most of the time but I'm not a big fan of the points system. Although I am a big fan of the chainsaw.
Overall I think that the things that I like about Gears outweigh the things that I dont like about Gears.

[color=green] Best game on earth. I'm pretty much a glitcher in this game.My favorite character is Dom.This game is pretty amazing. I think Campaign is a lot harder than Online. I played Campaign on Insane and beat it in like a week. The graphics are awesome. There is something extremy cool in the bottom of this post!
There will be a Gears of War 2!!!!!!
